Due to our growth and expansion, we need to incorporate a Business Development Engineer / Proposal Engineer for our Technical Consulting Division.

Reporting directly to the BD Director, your mission will be to support on Business Development activities of the Consulting and Engineering Business Unit (BU), focused on Renewable Energy Technologies.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Engineer / Proposal Engineer to join our Technical Consulting team in the Renewable Energy sector. The successful candidate will report directly to the BD Director and will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and supporting the growth of our consulting services. This role requires a strong technical background in renewable energy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain client relationships.

Functions and responsibilities:

• Business Development:

o Identify new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector, including wind, solar, and energy storage.

o Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry organizations.

o Conduct market research and analyse industry trends to support strategic decision-making.

• Proposal Management:

o Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for renewable energy consulting projects.

o Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical inputs and ensure proposals align with client requirements.

o Manage the proposal process from initial inquiry to final submission, ensuring high-quality and competitive offers.

• Technical Consulting Support:

o Assist in developing technical reports, feasibility studies, and due diligence assessments for renewable energy projects.

o Support project teams in defining technical scopes and optimizing solutions for clients.

o Provide technical guidance on renewable energy technologies, regulations, and industry best practices.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

o Work closely with other Business Units and OCA Global affiliates in Europe, Latam, Africa, Middle East, and Asia to align business development strategies.

o Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and presentations to secure new projects.

o Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

Work location:

• OCA Global HQ in Madrid, other locations such Lisboa or Milan may be considered.

• Travelling and short term stays in Spain and Europe would be required on commercial needs.

Education requirements:

• BSC in Engineering or similar.

• MSC in Renewable Energy would be favourably considered.

Professional Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in business development, proposal management, or technical consulting within the renewable energy sector.

• Previous experience in a Consulting, Engineering, IPP or EPC company in Renewable Energy Projects is a valuable factor.

Languages:

• English and Spanish: Native or full professional proficiency.

• Other languages such Portuguese, Italian, French, Polish, Romanian or Arabic would be favourably considered.

• Efficient problem resolution.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

• Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, project development, and industry regulations.

• Knowledge in some specific software (e.g. AutoCAD, PVSyst, PV Case, WindPRO, HOMER, etc..) would be favourably considered.

• Experience in CRM software: HubSpot or Salesforce.

• Experience in MS Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).

• Experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals for consulting projects.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
